I was hoping for an elbows battle when I planned to watch Eclipse this afternoon. But turned out, the line was only 5 queues. And in 10 minutes, I got the tickets, with golden spots (E row). And again, unexpectedly, as I enter the theatre, it’s not full. Hmm.. wondering about all the buzzes on Eclipse for the last 2 days. But nevermind.. let’s watch these handsome and cute boys fighting for the yummy-smell girl, Bella Swan.
With the same exaggerating-romantic kind of style with its last 2 sequels, Twilight and New Moon, this movie is still enjoyable. Edward Cullen with his handsome-ness, Bella Swan with her fragile and unstable emotion, and Jacob with his six packs body. And the plot is still with Victoria as the bad man (or should I say bad girl ?), building an army of vampires to take the Cullens down. In order to avoid Alice’s vision on her plan, Victoria uses Riley, the newborn vampire to lead the army. And for Bella’s and Charlie’s safety, the Cullens and the warewolves are forced to work together. Surprisingly, in this sequel, Jasper looks kind of cute, cause he’s actually talking and teaching the warewolves to fight the newborn vampires.
While the battle is set, and both sides are preparing to it, Edward, Bella and Jacob are triangle-ing. Jacob is not giving up on Bella, although he finally knew that Bella choose to become a vampire and marrying Edward. The funny thing is when the tent scene, when Jacob is warming Bella with his body, while Edward is watching them. As Bella fall asleep, Edward and Jacob got talking and in the end they talked about how would things if they are not natural enemy, and it’s kind of romantic too. :P
Then the battle is on, and the Cullens with help from the warewolves, win.
And the most breath-taking scene in this sequel is when Bella asks Jacob to kiss her, in the top of snowy mountain. I swear to God, the scenery is so beautiful. That’s just surreal.
But the most beautiful dialogue is the last scene of Bella and Edward. Which in a way, Bella explains to Edward that what matter the most is her to get to be herself in this vampire world, that’s why she insists to be a vampire. Her love is not all about Edward, but also about herself. Nice!
So, overall, I enjoyed watching this movie. Especially because accompanied by two kids of mine. ;-)
